Girav

Dutch men are the tallest in the world, yet clothing is often too short. That’s why Girav creates premium basics in three different lengths, so every man over 1.80m can find the perfect fit. Their brand is built upon three pillars, simplicity, refinement, and confidence, which the animation and musical strategy had to reflect. 

 

Brief

While our design team worked on an animated logo for the brand, our music team developed a music strategy that included both a sound logo and a brand anthem. The three shirt lengths needed to be woven into the brand anthem.

 

Execution

After exploring GIRAV’s values, tone of voice, and competitors, we began shaping a framework for the brand’s sonic identity. The goal was to bridge organic and electronic sounds, creating a sound that feels refined and confident, yet simple and approachable.

When composing the brand anthem, the team kept in mind that confidence doesn’t have to mean loudness. This meant keeping the melodic and harmonic structures clear and accessible, while allowing the rhythm to become more layered and intricate. In parallel with this process, we also developed their sound logo. The challenge here was to make the three lengths audibly recognizable without it sounding too digital or distant.

Working entirely in-house at Ambassadors made this process especially smooth. As Olaf, Composer & Music Supervisor, explained: “It’s always a pleasure working on the full project in-house. We can walk into each other’s offices, try things out on the spot, and knowing each other personally really helps the creative energy.”

 

Result

The result is a sound logo and brand anthem that brings GIRAV’s three core values, simplicity, confidence, and refinement, to life in a distinctive sonic identity.
